Summer Fun Made Better

For Your Car

This month, Hawk will start carrying the BOYO Wireless Rear View Camera. Not only is this great for knowing what is behind you as you back up, but it also is great for hooking up trailers, campers, etc.

Other Great Ideas For Your Car:

Back up sensors – an audible alert sounds if an obstacle is detected
Navigation systems – so you don’t get lost
Radar detectors – can integrate with navigation system to find red light camera intersections
Parrot Bluetooth Car Kit – great for hands-free calling

Plus Hawk can install any of these items for you.

For Your Family

Push-To-Talk phones are great when traveling. Just make sure you have the right phones and add the PTT service to your family plan.

The new Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Headsets, well, to use my daughter’s phrase, totally rock. The kids are entertained for hours with movies, music and more – and you don’t have to hear it!

For Traveling

Did you know Hawk carries Sony weatherproof marine CD players and receivers? They are great for your boat whether on the lake or on the seas.

Hawk also carries dry-packs to protect your equipment from sand or water while outdoors. And it also floats if it gets dropped in the water. This is on sale this month so I recommend getting one whether you plan to spend your summer whitewater rafting or just by the pool.

Also, be sure to check out this month’s Q&A on roadside assistance. I got this for my daughter when she started driving. It certainly eases my anxiety about her driving and going out with friends.

If you spend summer time away from the city, don’t forget to bring the digital antenna for your cell phone. These devices boost reception and make even the most remote places cell phone friendly.

Just For Moms

I just read an article by salary.com that states the average stay-at-home mother spends 92 hours a week being a Mom. If they work full-time, they spend about 50 hours a week on “mom duties” in addition to their paying job. Wow! Now, I know why my wife wants a PDA – she has to keep track of everyone’s calendar, while juggling emails and phone calls when not in the office. We have more information about the latest PDAs and smartphones later in this newsletter. This is one Mother’s Day gift she will definitely enjoy!

Regards,
George Hechtman
